Quantum Glory Conference:
I found myself doing a conference with Paul Cain and it was the first one he has spoken at in the last 3 years. It was a top heavy conference with many speakers: David Herzog, Joshua Mills, Jeff Jansen, Paula Benne, JoAnn McFatter, and I not to mention guests like John Sandford, Cal Pierce, and others. This conference was not a Paul Cain restoration conference, he was just a speaker included amongst all of us.

When Paul came I was nervous for him. I had met with some of his new restoration team who have been overseeing the process for the last 12 months of his restoration. I also met with Paul, himself.

Because of my own relationship to Mike Bickle and Rick Joyner, I had read their public report that they do not recognize the restoration process that Paul is in and cannot recommend his ministry because they are not in relationship to the restorers and do not know the process they are using to restore him. They did however say they are for him and believe that if he goes through right restoration then they believe he could be restored.

Before the event, I didn't know if this conference was premature for him or not but there was so much confirmation that he was supposed to come that I was willing to stand with the conference hosts in their decision to bring him.

First Impressions:
Paul has always seemed humble to me but I also realize that I don't have enough information to gage him in his current process. Realize I only spent a few hours with him, but there was something different from the last interactions I had with him in previous years. I know he is a professional minister and has ministered for so many years that he can probably turn off and on the charm or have certain appearances if he did lack integrity, but he felt extremely genuine. I usually have really good discernment with people and dynamics, so I felt at ease around him and his team. I really enjoyed my time with him.

Restoration Team Report:
You can read his teams report online, but what was interesting is actually meeting some of them. A lot of times when someone goes to therapy it's a babysitting course until enough time goes by that the person can re enter their public life. This however was not the impression I got from this team. The ones that I met had a real concern for both Paul's emotional and Spiritual health, and they also were very forthcoming in the restoration process he is still currently in. Although their report about Paul is that he is restored, they admit that it is a restoration of phases that will take some time to fully implement along with continued oversight.

One point they made was how honest Paul had been with the full restoration team about his weaknesses in the last year and how they all know his weaknesses and his real health problems. I know that must have been very humbling for Paul but at the same time there was lots of grace to overcome for him as well. It seemed like a safe environment where the people were not just interested in restoring him for the glory of it. He has been spending weeks at a time staying with them in their houses and them at his house. They have done 24 hour supervision for days at a time and have seen his new freedom and real life.

Paul's Conference Session:
The crowd was completely excited about Paul speaking. I think most of the crowd would have been aware of who he is and his long term and recent past, but it was electric in there.

What was interesting to me was Paul's choice of messages. He could have taught about Stadium ministry, or the latter rain movement, or shared experiences of meeting kings and nobles but he didn't. Basically he taught about the cross of Christ and about how Jesus took the cup of suffering and He was forsaken so that we didn't have to be.

One of the things that I really was aware of is the depth of the message that had taken root inside of Paul. He wasn't just working through a process by verbally processing it with us. He really has entered into a revelation of the cross that perhaps this season has released, especially because of the terrible gossip and church politics' that have centered around his life these last three years.

Another interesting fact is that Paul admitted right away that his generation of ministers did not know how to give away their anointing and father, and he admitted his mistakes here not wanting to make them this next time around. I felt it was significant because he said it with deep humility and almost regret.
When Paul ministered I knew that it would appear sensational because his ministry has always been very unique. I was waiting for the gifts to operate because the gifts of God are irrevocable, but then something happened. About 10 of us in the room saw the Angel of the Lord standing beside Paul speaking to him, and he called out people by their names, their children's names, their addresses, and some very genuine heart secrets. He didn't do a lot of ministry but what he did was so straight from the heart of God, not a gift of man alone.

This is when I witnessed what I already felt even before the conference; that Paul is in a window of time that he must have gained some real ground with the Lord because the Lord Himself showed up as opposed to just a good level of gifting in operation.

He also has a great sense of humor and can easily keep up wit for wit with any jokes we through at him. He even has a sense of humor about many of the negative reports against him which was fun because I love to make fun of my own accusers accusations (not the accusers but the accusations).

Conclusion:
So many of us love Paul, but we want to see a complete and genuine restoration. If what I saw this week was any indication of what is to come in Paul's life, I can believe for a complete restoration and then some ..and very soon at that. I know Paul has a lot of work ahead of him in moving forward in the body of Christ, regaining the favor he once had, but he definitely has regained a place with the Lord that is sincere and special and I believe he is on the way of the road to full restoration.

I am not qualified to tell you where he is at in that process, but I can tell you that I love and appreciate him and am believing that everything the Lord promised him is going to happen if he stays on this track that I witnessed.

Special props go out to Rick and Lorrie Taylor of the Santa Maria healing rooms who are WONDERFUL people full of God and love. They were awesome to meet.
